Part of our commitment to promote cultural and touristic events, we at Jounieh International Festival have decided to add among our line-up for 2023 Summer Festival a unique concept that will help promote the beauty of Lebanon to its people and to the entire world. LOUBNANI ANA is a photo contest launched in partnership wtith MTV. We will strive to invite Photographers both amateur and professional to participate in our contest by posting what they believe will promote Lebanon’s best image.

Photos can cover any topic such as: Beaches, Rivers, Water-skiing, Nature, Historical Places, Snow sceneries, Ski, Clubs, Mezze, Dabke, Paragliding….. Anything that the photographer or the contestant believes it promotes Lebanon’s true and best image, it is left to each and every one to decide which direction to take and to impress by being creative Photos will be uploaded on Line on the Jounieh International Festival Application from July 01 till 31st July 2023. Then a Jury composed of 9 persons will assess, discuss and select the top 30 photos based on creativity, uniqueness , photo quality and some other professional criteria.

We wanted our Jury to include not only photographers but also people who are sensitive to beauty and tourism. Once the 30 Top Photos are selected, it will be the Turn of the Mass public to vote on Line for the top 5 positions, the Public Vote will represent 50% of the Note and the other 50 % will depend on the Jury vote. A reception will be held to give the first 5 winners their prizes and to expose the top 30 selected photo that will be framed and promoted at the Casino Du Liban Hall in the presence of Ministry of Tourism and Ministry of Culture.

Contest will start on July 1 till 31st July (Photographers will be uploading Photos) Jury Photo selection: 8 August (Selection of the top 30 Photos) Public Votes from 8 August to 15 August. The top 5 winners will be announced on the 16th of August. An official reception will be held on August 22nd.

The top 30 Photos will be exposed in a book “ LOUBNANI ANA” highlighting the respective Theme and the name of the photographer for each photos. A digital album covering different chapters and photo themes will be put on Line and a digital chip containing all the top photos will be offered to all Travel Agencies and Embassies with the purpose to help promote Lebanon as a unique destination. We will make sure that those photos will reach the main TV Stations both Local and International to serve the above mentioned purpose

LOUBNANI ANA is a concept our Festival wanted to embark on, for what we believe is our duty to always show the best image of our Beautiful country despite all the collapses around us, with the hope, that we will one day overcome them together as one.
